Kim this week visited four formerly incarcerated people who were pardoned under the Biden administration.

Kim sat next to Harris and reflected on her trip to the White House in 2018. She said: “I didn’t know much, and I was inspired to study law and really educate myself to see what I could do to help.”

Addressing those recently pardoned, she said: “It is a great honor to be here today to hear your stories. And I think it’s so important to share and amplify them. Because I think there are so many people in your position who can use that inspiration.”

So far, President Joe Biden has commuted the sentences of 122 people and pardoned 20 people who committed nonviolent drug crimes.

Kim has made it clear that she does not align herself with any particular political party or government. After working with former President Donald Trump on prison reform in 2018 and 2020, Kim admitted in an appearance Jimmy Kimmel Live this week that she and Trump, who maintains a friendship with Kim’s ex, Kanye Westare not that close anymore.

“I don’t think he likes me very much. But I’m fine,” she shared with a laugh. “I think he did a lot on prison reform, got a lot of people out and signed a great bill, the First Step Act, and that’s what I’m going to focus on.”

Kim first helped free Alice Marie Johnson, a grandmother who was in prison for non-violent drug crimes, in 2018. Since then, she has continued to work on criminal justice reform and is training to become a licensed attorney.

Kim hasn’t let recent headlines and online chatter keep her from the public eye. After Taylor Swift released their new album, The Tortured Poets DepartmentLast week, fans speculated that the dissident track “thanK you aIMee” was a direct comment against the SKIMs founder.

Kim hasn’t directly addressed the new music and according to a sourceis ready to move on.

“Kim has put the Taylor feud behind her and no longer cares about her song ‘Thank you aIMee.’ “She’s put it in the past, especially since her drama happened so long ago,” a source recently told ET.

The source adds, “Kim respects Taylor as an artist but does not have a strong desire to resolve their differences at this time.”
