Lara Dutta remembers how, in the middle of a huge crowd, a man tried to molest her

In a recent interaction with Hauterrfly, Lara Dutta recalled a frightening incident she faced when an unknown person tried to molest her amidst a huge crowd. The diva went down memory lane and recalled that she was at Chandni Chowk, New Delhi for the music premiere of her film. Andaaz. She was also joined by her co-stars Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra. The actress recalled that she was wearing a sari that day and a huge crowd had gathered to see the celebrities. However, a certain man tried to misbehave with Lara and ended up secretly pinching her waist. Lara added that it was her intuition that helped her identify the perpetrator, saying:

“During my first film, Andaaz, Priyanka, Akshay and I all three went to Delhi. I think it was somewhere in Chandni Chowk, there used to be a place called Rhythm House which was the venue for our music release. It was my first film, it was my first time as an actress and I wore a sari that day. Someone in the crowd grabbed my hand and pinched my waist. I almost had a certain intuition, maybe it was military training, that you can sense that something is wrong. The moment that hand came in, I held it and pulled this guy out of the crowd.”

Lara Dutta gave a cheeky reply to trolls trying to shame her because of her age

In another interaction with Pinkvilla, Lara Dutta revealed how she tends to deal with online trolls and the hate that comes her way. The diva shared how many people try to shame her age by using derogatory terms like ‘Buddhi’ and ‘Moti’ for her. Lara cheekily noted that people will always have their own opinions, no matter what happens. However, in the end it has no real impact on their lives or decisions. She expressed even more and said:

“I think I’ve been blessed. I don’t deal with a lot of trolls or nasty comments or anything like that. I mean, of course people have… it’s their right to have an opinion, you know, and they’ll tell you something. Many people say “arrey buddhi ho gayi”, “arrey moti ho gayi”. Will it really make a difference in my life? That’s not the case. I also know that there are anonymous people behind the handles. I don’t know what someone like that goes through in their life. So I can’t judge anyone else either. That’s good.”
