Jones Knows the Best Bets: Back to the 11/2 Weekend Threesome with Declan Rice

Our top tipster Jones Knows publishes his best bets for the Premier League weekend and recommends a 5/1 treble.

How did we get along last weekend?

Nottingham Forest shouldn’t be angry with the officials. It was all my fault. Every time I miss my money for a Morgan Gibbs-White goal, Forest are denied, which looks very good and screams penalties. Of course, Gibbs-White is the designated penalty taker for Forest, so you can see the connection between the two.

We supported him scoring for Forest against Newcastle, where Taiwo Awoniyi was denied an apparent penalty after falling in the penalty area. And we supported him at Goodison Park. I take full responsibility.

My betting weekend revolved around Forest getting a result at Everton. With Gibbs-White failing to score and Forest losing, it was a really frustrating weekend, especially with the other two best bets of the weekend coming in. Coventry cleared their corner line against Manchester United winning five times, while Crystal Palace ridiculed the 11/10 points that allowed them to score two or more goals against West Ham. That happened after just 16 minutes.

But Forest’s failure meant the 11/2 treble went down the drain, as did the Gibbs-Whites scoring or assisting in a Forest win. Fiddlesticks.

P+L = +17.5

2-point treble against Crystal Palace to avoid defeat at Fulham, Dwight McNeil with at least one shot on goal and Declan Rice with more than 2 shots against Tottenham (11/2 with Sky Bet – bet here!)

Time with double effort. I like this.

Palace have claimed three very impressive wins in a row under Oliver Glasner, beating Liverpool, West Ham and Newcastle. The midfield has great balance and the forward line is humming right now. While Fulham have a good home record, they have lost their last two games at Craven Cottage and are not nearly as dangerous in attack as Palace, who can avoid defeat.

Dwight McNeil’s firing lines are very appealing against Brentford. He has certainly played a bit more centrally in recent weeks, feeding Dominic Calvert-Lewin, and is not afraid to test the goalkeeper from distance. He scored in the 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest and has had 19 shots in his last seven appearances, finding the target in his last three. This means his 4/5 price for at least one shot on goal is oozing value.

And finally my eye was drawn to Declan Rice’s Shots prices. He is becoming a monster in this Arsenal team, playing a more advanced role on the left side of midfield – a position that suits his all-action style.

His power tore Chelsea apart in transition on Tuesday night and he will make the same direct runs past Tottenham’s midfield that give you the space to do so. Rice has had 22 shots in his last 10 starts across all competitions – his influence in the final third is increasing. This makes the 10/11 with Sky Bet to have two or more shots one of the best bets on the weekend card.
