Harbhajan’s controversial interpretation of Dhoni’s six

Furthermore, Harbhajan touched on the technical aspect of the shot and mentioned that the ball was outside the field and such shots are part of a batsman’s breakthrough. He concluded by noting that such incidents are common in cricket and should not be overly glorified.

“Well this is different, Chennai Super Kings won the game. And that ball was obviously out. These are obviously follow-up shots, so it’s not a particularly large shot. That’s right, the game is hot, few shots are hit like that, it’s okay Chennai Super Kings won the game. The ball was out of the field and the batsmen were making these types of shots [Hitting a six with one hand] in the aftermath. It’s not a big deal. It happens in a game)”, Harbhajan added.
