Lisa Vanderpump has a lot to say Jax Taylor. Or rather, around him.
ET caught up with the reality TV veteran about her latest restaurant project, Wolf from Vanderpump in Harvey’s Lake Tahoefor a little overview of the situation in their various shows, starting with Vanderpump Rules. At a recent viewing party for the series and its rebooted spin-off, The valley — Both are Lisa’s executive producers – at Jax’s bar of the same name In Studio City, California, Jax provided real-time commentary on an episode of VPR into a microphone and repeatedly bombed his former television house.
“They don’t even hang out,” he told the crowd in a clip recorded by TikTok user Kate Riccio. “Show me a scripted show and I’ll fucking show you.” Vanderpump Rules. Scripted! Scripted!”
“I’ve been on this show for nine fucking years, it’s scripted,” Jax continued, referencing his previous time on the series – which he once called “my show.” The network let him go in 2020 before season 9.
“I’ll be there next week and I’ll tell you what: it was scripted!” he gushed. Jax showed up on Tuesday’s episode for an awkward conversation with Lisa, where she shamed him for calling her “superfluous.” Vanderpump Rules Now that it’s no longer about their business. Jax denied even knowing the word “superfluous.”
“This is catastrophic,” he continued to complain. “Don’t get me wrong, when we started it was great. Seasons 1 through 6 were organic, it was real. It’s fucking insane.
“Now you have a real show!” He announced when The valley came on the bar’s TVs. “Back to where we started.” It’s organic, it’s real.”
“I think it’s absolutely ridiculous to say ‘script,'” Lisa claps back. “Nobody can write a script like that Vanderpump Rules.”
“Oh my God,” she adds. “Maybe what Jax is saying is a script. Maybe he sits at home in his small bedroom and writes his own scripts. Well, what do I know? “Anyway, on the whole, everything Jax says doesn’t make any sense to me.”
After the clip went viral, Jax walked back the comments on his podcast with his estranged wife Brittany Cartwright. When reality hits.
“I have a big mouth and that gets me in trouble from time to time,” he told listeners. “Unfortunately, I ranted about how to do it.” Vanderpump Rules are script based. I’m incredibly embarrassed.”
Jax went on to praise the series as “the most authentic” reality series out there, especially as Season 11 chronicles the aftershocks of Scandoval, the cheating scandal that made the show Bravo’s No. 1 program. Last month Lisa recorded the reunion with all the cast; Soon after, reports began circulating that something big had happened in between Lala Kent And Ariana Madixa possibly friendly feud.
“You can always get away with it,” Lisa clarifies. “This group is so often divided, and you would think that one person would never talk to the other again, and somehow they manage to find their way back to each other.”
While Lisa speculates that the VPR The cast seems more divided than ever after the reunion (“There’s always something different with them, isn’t there?”), the series seems to be at a turning point heading into a possible 12th year. It doesn’t seem plausible that breakout star Ariana exists in the same television universe as her cheating ex-boyfriend. She doesn’t reject the idea of refocusing the show on her restaurants, but laughs at the possibility of her following Something About Her co-star Ariana and co-star Katie MaloneyThe sandwich shop that isn’t open yet.
“I hope it opens very soon because they are still paying rent!” she jokes.
Along with more Vanderpump Rulesthere will probably be more Vanderpump mansion. Although Hulu hasn’t made an official announcement of a second season, Lisa says the streaming series is “very popular.” She also just filmed the reunion of this cast.
“I survived,” she jokes. “Obviously I’m not the one in trouble because I’m kind of in charge there, but there’s still a lot to deal with with these young guys.”
Lisa notices that she villa Stars are all new to television, so there is a “complicated” learning curve there; But she also defends it against critics who claim that the series is cast exclusively with wannabe reality stars. They all actually worked in the castle featured in the series, from cooks to waiters, mixologists to housekeepers.
“Every single person on that show was someone who knew their job very well,” she explains.
As for whether some or all will be invited back, Lisa remains cautious.
“I can’t tell you something like that,” she says, before adding: “There’s always someone I don’t want to see again. You know that.”
Where villa The second round shoots are also still open; Season 1 filmed in the south of France.
“I think if we did it again, and of course there are conversations, but I can’t say anything,” she shares. “I think the exciting thing is that we should go somewhere else. So look at this room.”

“I love Gordon, right, but Gordon – I think – needs a worthy opponent, and I think maybe I’m the one,” she teases. “Let me just say, he’s not going to make an idiot sandwich out of me!”
Gordon and Lisa are also neighbors in Lake Tahoe, at least as business people. His restaurant, Hell’s Kitchen, is just steps from the newly opened Wolf at Harveys, a Caesars Entertainment property. They will soon be opening neighboring restaurants at Flamingo in Las Vegas. Her name is Pinky’s, a play on one of her nicknames.
“We have already designed the next project and it is in the works,” she notes. “We’ll open around September, and Gordon will open a few months before that. It will be a beautiful Art Deco atmosphere. Pinky’s, it’s completely different.” [from Wolf].”
Lisa calls Wolf, which has a masculine edge compared to her other partnerships with Caesars, a “dream come true.”
“We wanted to create something [my design partner, Nick Alain] “And I really thought about it, something that felt organic to the area,” she explains. “All the colors and textures feel like they came from Lake Tahoe.” … We just wanted to feel very organic and very natural.”
