Julia Garner’s Rosemary’s Baby Prequel Finds a Home at Paramount+

Based on the strength of relicJames definitely has experience exploring the lives of women struggling with supernatural malevolence, and she has an excellent cast to incorporate this into Apartment 7A. As Deadline reportsThe Rosemary’s baby In the prequel, coming to Paramount+ this fall, Julia Garner plays a dancer seeking fame in 1965 New York City. The rest of the cast includes Dianne Wiest, Jim Sturgess and Kevin McNally. Garner’s character suffers a horrific injury, after which “a strange, well-connected older couple promises her a chance at fame.” As the title suggests, it’s set in the same spooky apartment building that Rosemary and her husband move into a few years later. So you know what that means: witches with sinister plans burst in through secret doors!

As fans of Rosemary’s baby As you already know, the original film, based on Ira Levin’s best-selling novel, introduces a character who is supposed to be Satan’s baby mama before Rosemary takes her place: Terry, played by Victoria Vetri, who introduces Rosemary to a friendly older couple – the Castavets, Rosemary’s neighbors, rescued her from life on the streets. Of course, it doesn’t end well for Terry and it’s unclear whether Garner is playing this character or another woman who is supposed to give birth to the Antichrist. After all, Satanists are nothing if not stubborn!

There is no exact date for this Apartment 7AAside from Fall, this is Paramount+’s debut, but the Halloween season seems like a good choice.
