Former Teenage mother 2 star Jenelle Evans Reuniting with estranged husband David Eason this week in a North Carolina courtroom hoping to get a temporary restraining order.
However, a judge granted a continuance on Thursday, April 11, to give Eason, 35, time to potentially get a lawyer, Jenelle’s manager said. August Keen, confirmed Us weekly.
When asked how the meeting with Eason went, Evans, 32, said US Sun“I didn’t even look at him.”
Eason arrived at her most recent court appearance wearing dark pants, a polo shirt and a rain jacket. Evans, meanwhile, stayed warm in a raincoat with jeans and boots.
Earlier this month the US Sun reported that Eason was served a summons for a domestic violence protection order on the boat where he lives. The basis for Evans’ request was “harassing behavior,” the release states.
Eason later appeared to address the allegations in a TikTok video.
“Jenelle tried to get a restraining order,” he said in a post seen by the website US Sun. “She doesn’t want me to talk about her personal matters. Well, guess what, you made this decision yourself. When we get to the courtroom, I’ll bring all the information with me, baby. I will bring all receipts and you will not receive a refund.”
Back in March, Evans filed for separation from her husband after six years of marriage. The reality star, who married Eason in September 2017, explained that she filed the documents with “the intention of the separation being permanent.”
When a social media user asked why she filed for a separation and not a divorce, the former responded 16 and pregnant Star explained her decision.
“I would have gotten a divorce right away, but I couldn’t because in the state of North Carolina you have to be legally separated for a year and prove you have two different addresses,” she said on TikTok 6 in March. “The problem with that is that none of us wanted to go. That’s why whenever I had the opportunity to file a motion for separation, I filed a motion called a bed and board separation.”
While the couple continues to live apart, Evans – who shares 14-year-old son Jace with his ex Andrew LewisHis son Kaiser, 9, with his ex-boyfriend Nathan Griffith and daughter Ensley, 7, with Eason — spoke about how things were going in a new social media post.
While filming an Instagram reel about divorce, Evans used a voiceover from Bridesmaids to recite the line, “You can’t trust anyone.” She captioned the post, “Things can get messy #JustSayin.”
