“Jamie Foxx Show, ‘Beat Shazam,’ Returns for Season 7”

“I’m back for an all-new season of ‘Beat Shazam,'” Corinne Foxx says in the first clip of “Beat Shazam” season 7. Then the camera turns slightly to show her father, Jamie, smiling broadly: “Uh, yeah, and I’m back too!”

Jamie was admitted to the hospital on April 11, 2023. The cause remains unknown, but his illness prevented him from hosting the final season of the show. Nick Cannon was guest host, while Kelly Osbourne filled in for Corinne as DJ.

But now the father-daughter duo is back in action and Jamie is looking in rare form!

In the first look of the show above Page Six, Jamie jogs, skips and even pushes around the stage, displaying a vitality that many feared would never return after what he went through.

“I’m so grateful and I’m getting emotional because it’s beyond the scope,” Foxx said after urging the crowd to “appreciate life” and their loved ones.

“I had some people in my life who really made sure that I was here because the situation was very dire,” the actor continued People.

So there will be answers as long as we are all patient. Until then, we can just enjoy watching Jamie be his living self on Beat Shazam. The show returns for Season 7 on Tuesday, May 28 on Fox.
