Isuzu Unveils 2024 V-Cross Pickup Truck Ahead of Launch

Isuzu is one of the manufacturers that popularized the lifestyle pickup truck segment in India. Before Isuzu, many manufacturers tried their luck; However, they never succeeded. The Isuzu V-Cross is probably the first pickup truck that caught the attention of buyers in our market. For years, the V-Cross was the only lifestyle pickup truck available for sale. However, things have now changed and the truck has a competitor. With competition increasing, Isuzu has decided to give this popular pickup truck a facelift. The manufacturer has now released a teaser image of the pickup.

The images that have surfaced online give us a glimpse of the front and cabin of the pickup. Although Isuzu has been offering the V-Cross in India for quite some time now, it is not the same version as the international variant. In fact, it’s a generation behind the international version. As for the teaser images, the front grille of the Isuzu V-Cross facelift can be seen here.

It looks like the manufacturer is making minor changes to the grille, headlights and bumper of the pickup to give it a fresh look. Just like at the front, we can also expect a revised bumper at the rear. The design of the alloy wheels also looks slightly different and they will probably be painted in two colors.

Based on the images available online, we assume that the pickup would also receive some updates on the interior. The 2024 version of the Isuzu V-Cross is offered with a two-tone brown and black theme for the interior. The seats will be designed in this theme and the dashboard and other plastic panels are expected to get a black shade.

The manufacturer will update the touchscreen infotainment system. The SUV will come with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The SUV also gets electrically adjustable seats, a multifunction steering wheel, cruise control, automatic climate control and so on.

The SUV continues to be offered with safety features such as six airbags, electronic stability control, traction control, hill descent control and a rearview camera with sensors. The Isuzu V-Cross is powered by the same engine options as the current version. The 1.9-liter turbodiesel engine produces 161 hp and 360 Nm of maximum torque. The SUV is offered with both manual and automatic transmissions.

The lower version of the Isuzu V-Cross pickup will be offered in a 2WD configuration, while the 4×4 feature is likely to be offered only in the higher version. Isuzu is also offering a basic crew cab version of the pickup in 2021.

The same is expected to be the case in the upcoming version. Currently the V-Cross only competes with the Hilux; However, with rumors of Ford returning to India, there are indications that Ford might introduce the Ranger pickup in India.

The chances of Ford launching the Ranger are highly unlikely as it is an expensive truck. Recently, a Ford Ranger was spotted on a pickup truck in Chennai along with the upcoming Everest or Endeavor as we know it. The updated version of the Isuzu V-Cross is expected to be launched soon.
