Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has confirmed that Rohit Sharma targeted Yashasvi Jaiswal when he made angry comments about players roaming around a garden.
Rohit Sharma was in full animated mode during the five-match home Test series against England in January-March. In the second Test, which India won by 104 runs, Rohit was caught on stump mic saying that he would do something bad if he saw a player standing casually while fielding. Following his comments, India won the Test match and secured the series 4-1.

The event was hosted by none other than former IPL broadcaster Gaurav Kapur, who is known for his witty and engaging questions. In one of the segments, Kapur asked Yashasvi Jaiswal who were the players entertaining him in the Royals dressing room.
Yashas Jaiswal replied that all his superiors had stripped him, including Ravichandran Ashwin. The conversation then shifted to an anecdote told by the opening batsman about how he knew when Ashwin was angry and when he wasn’t.
Jaiswal then narrated an incident when he was playing short-pitch during the England Test series and couldn’t stop a ball. Ravichandran Ashwin then took over the floor and said that when Jaiswal talks about the series, he also has some anecdotes to share.
Ashwin started by saying that Yashasvi Jaiswal was casual at short leg and one day he scolded the latter for it. The off-spinner then revealed that one day he lashed out at the boy and said if a stone was placed at short leg in his place, even that stone would stop the ball.
Ravi Ashwin then confirmed that Yashasvi Jaiswal is the one who is actually roaming around the garden.
“He’s short in friendlies, man. If Rajasthan Royals win their upcoming IPL 2024 match against Delhi Capitals, their qualification for the playoffs will be confirmed. The 2008 IPL winners currently have 16 points to their name, which could have been 18 if they had won their last game against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Delhi Capitals, on the other hand, have a must-win game against RR for their own play-off hopes.
