Kareena Kapoor Khan is having an outstanding year! After starting 2024 with the box office hit crewthe actress is gearing up for two highly anticipated releases – Hansal Mehta’s The Buckingham Murders and Rohit Shetty’s action spectacle Singham again. In a recent interview with Variety, Kareena spoke about her experience while filming crew and hinted at the possibility of a sequel. Kareena delivered a strong performance along with Tabu and Kriti Sanon as flight attendants got involved in a daring robbery.

But Kareena’s eyes are now on the upcoming big budget entertainer Singham again. Directed by Rohit Shetty, the film features a star-studded cast including Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and of course Kareena herself. She describes the film as a “completely male testosterone film” and assures fans that both she and Deepika Padukone have “very strong roles” to play. Kareena said, “There are Deepika (Padukone) and me in the film where we have very strong roles. But of course it will be very different, it is the big Bollywood bonanza for this year and I am sure people will enjoy it.”
In a previous interview with BBC Asian Network, she playfully dodged questions about sharing screen space with the other actresses in the film, saying: “I’m sure that’s part of the surprise of the film, which you definitely have to see!”
In the meantime, Bollywood Hungama Recently, it was reported that Shetty is now eyeing the Diwali release date in 2024 Singham again and will advance and make way from release on Independence Day 2024 Pushpa 2: The Rule. “Rohit Shetty, Ajay Devgn and the team shot day and night Singham again with the intention of bringing it on the weekend of August 15, 2024. However, filming is taking longer than expected as a film like Singham Again requires a lot of attention. Rohit and Ajay don’t want to rush through the process just to make it to a specific release date. “They want the scope and vision to be expressed exactly as set out on paper without compromise,” a trade source said Bollywood Hungama.
Rohit and Ajay have already shared their idea of postponing the film with Jio Studios and the August 15 date is now vacant. “Jio has suggested a Diwali 2024 release to Rohit and Ajay and the duo is also thinking about the date. The VFX and BGM schedules are now being revised keeping in mind the Diwali 2024 deadline. Diwali has also proved to be a lucky break for Ajay and Rohit combination,” the source told us.
An official announcement about the new release date of Singham again is expected to begin filming shortly, but at the moment the film is 100% postponed to the previously announced date of August 15, 2024.
