“Today” Show Hosts Celebrate “Bring Your Kid to Work Day” at the Plaza

It was a family affair on the Thursday, April 25 episode Today.

The hosts and crew of the NBC morning show brought their children to 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York City for a special occasion. “That’s the future” Savannah Guthrie he said when greeting the group of children. “It’s Take Your Kids to Work Day here at NBC and we have so many amazing kids, kids of our tech crew, our producers, on-air correspondents.”

(Melvin, 44, shares Delano and daughter Sybil, 7, with his wife Lindsay Czarniak. In addition to Calvin, Dreyer, 42, and her husband Brian Fichera are parents to sons Oliver, 4, and Rusty, 2.)

At the end of the third period, Delano and Calvin took on the role of their parents Todayopens the episode next to it Al Roker And Sheinelle Jones. “It’s the day you bring your kids to work,” Delano said to the camera, to which Calvin quipped, “Hey, that doesn’t seem so hard.”

Melvin and Dreyer continued to praise their children’s TV talents, with Dreyer joking, “Craig and I are stage moms on the side.” I say, ‘Speak louder, sit up straight.'” After the show, Dreyer shared a sweet locker room selfie with Calvin via Instagram and wrote, “Take your kid to work!!! Calvin received the special award!!”

Kotb, 59, and Jenna Bush Hager also started on Thursday Today with Hoda & Jenna by highlighting Haley and other children of her colleagues. When asked what her favorite part of the day was so far, Haley told the co-host duo, “Getting to see mom.”

Despite the compliment, 42-year-old Bush Hager hilariously turned the tables on Kotb. “Haley, can I ask you a question?” Who’s boss, me or mom?” she asked Haley, who hilariously replied, “You.”

“This has been happening all day,” Kotb responded, before asking her daughter, “Are you positive?” Because you know you live with me. You don’t live with Jenna.” Bush Hager then offered to have Haley with him for the weekend.

Before Haley joined her mother on set, Kotb took a brief break from the show earlier this month to attend her daughter’s school concert. “Haley said yesterday, ‘Are you coming to my spring concert?’ And I said, ‘When is it?’ She says, ‘It’s tomorrow.’ Well, tomorrow is today,” Kotb shared on April 18, explaining how she rushed to the event between the second and fourth periods Today.
