The 2025 Porsche Cayenne GTS Brings Power, Sharpness and Bronze – Autoblog

When Porsche refreshed the third-generation Cayenne for the 2024 model year, the GTS took the year off as Porsche was more interested in releasing its Turbo and E-Hybrid trims. A driver-focused performance option that emphasizes purity, the Gran Turismo Sport trim in standard and coupe trim always strives for the best balance between handling and weight and the luxury required. Now the trim will kick off the Cayenne’s launch for the 2025 model year, bringing with it more power and a touch of Cayenne Turbo technology.

The 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 makes 40 more horsepower and 30 pound-feet more torque than the 2023 Cayenne GTS, peaking at 493 horsepower and 487 pound-feet. That’s 29 horses more than in the Cayenne S with the same engine, 19 horses less than in the Cayenne S E-Hybrid. Everything runs via an eight-speed gearbox on both axles, which is supposed to offer shorter shifting times in sport mode.

The engineers wiped the front axle pivot bearings of the Turbo GT Coupé, which increase the negative camber of the front wheels by a fraction of a degree, thereby improving steering response. The Turbo GT also made its four-wheel drive water cooling circuit available to limit temperatures during long, hard drives. The equipment-specific tuning of the air suspension is supported as standard by a torque vectoring rear axle differential; One option will be Porsche’s new active roll stabilizer chassis.

Every GTS comes standard with the automaker’s Sport Design package, but instead of the previous version’s body-colored trim, the new GTS uses gloss black for parts like greenhouse trim, rocker panels and fender trim. And instead of the previous black exhaust covers, the new pipe extensions are available in dark bronze. GTS Coupe customers can choose from three lightweight packages that include center-exiting bronze tips and can reduce the SUV’s curb weight by up to 55 pounds. Tinted headlights and taillights are standard on every version, and a set of 21-inch wheels in RS Spyder design hide red brake calipers.

The interior features all the extras introduced with this latest Cayenne, as well as GTS-exclusive features such as Race Tex upholstery combined with suede and held together with red stitching. Black is the default color, with Slate Gray and Crimson Red available sometime after release. Porsche has also given the sports seats more padding.

Prices start at $126,985 for the standard Cayenne, about $12,000 more than before, and $131,495 for the coupe, an increase of about $14,000 over the last model. Orders can be placed immediately and deliveries are scheduled to begin towards the end of the year.
