On Tuesday, April 23rd, 1000 Pound Sisters Star Tammy Slaton took to Instagram to show off her new look.
And she wasn’t alone.
While apparently shopping in a juice and other goods aisle at a grocery store, Tammy posed next to her friend Haley Michelle.
“Doing some grocery shopping before our friend’s trip,” both Tammy and Haley captioned the photo. They posted it together on Instagram.
Naturally, the comments section was full of praise. Primarily for Tammy (Haley has a large following, but significantly more on TikTok than Instagram), as fans find her increased mobility very encouraging.
Commenters had a lot to say, noting that they were “amazed” at how “fabulous” Tammy looked and praising her tattoo.
Most of Tammy’s followers know her from 1000 Pound Sisters. Therefore, Haley is a lesser known character. For some Instagram users, it seems as if she suddenly “appeared” in Tammy’s photos.
Some of these supporters have expressed concerns. Is someone “using” them to gain influence on social media?
“Tammy and I are friends. And I have over 2 million followers on TikTok,” Haley wrote in an Instagram reply. “I don’t have to use them for anything. We are good friends and I love her.”
Neither Tammy nor Haley shared the location of their trip. And that’s the best. At almost any Depending on their level of popularity, there is a possibility that a fixated “fan” will appear inappropriately. Even if they aren’t dangerous, it’s enough to ruin a trip.
Even if fans have already heard that 1000 Pound Sisters Season 6 began filming in early 2024. It’s often a guessing game as to whether Tammy’s adventures will appear on TLC.

She also lost a tremendous amount of weight. Tammy, who weighed around 330 kilograms when the series premiered, lost 70 kilograms due to her bariatric surgery in 2023. Since then she has slimmed down dramatically.
Some trolls have left cruel comments about her extra skin (an inevitable side effect of rapid weight loss). But most fans want to offer encouragement as Tammy adjusts to the new reality.
