It was “never” a problem

When asked in April 2024 if age ever plays a role in her marriage to Aaron, Sam responded The guard, “It never does. I mean, it’s coming now because you asked.”

She explained that the couple’s age difference “comes from the outside perspective of people who don’t know us, because I guess people always will… We’re a bit of an anomaly.” But after 14 years together, Sam confessed: “You just think: ‘Surely that doesn’t really matter anymore?’”

Sam noted that her ability to drown out the noise helped her stay connected to Aaron. “If I had been cynical for even a second, it wouldn’t have worked,” she said. “If I had questioned something, it would never have worked.”

The filmmaker added: “I have done everything in my life feet first. I always think, “That seems amazing,” and I jump right in and go through the experience, good or bad. It’s definitely a “screw it, let’s move on” approach. And I firmly believe that the heart surpasses all. Love conquers all.”

Strike down critics

Working on films together

“I feel a kind of protective instinct; I think it’s really difficult,” Aaron said in his April/May 2024 Rolling Stone UK Cover story about his collaboration with Sam after their collaboration on the 2019 film A million little pieces. “There’s also a part of me that feels like if something doesn’t work, I’m the one responsible.”

They share a special “connection”

“He was very intense and absolutely determined [about us dating]”Sam said to the Brits Sunday Times in 2017. “I literally found my soulmate. I feel so blessed: I wake up happy every day. We spend every minute of the day together.”

Getting annoyed by criticism

“But having to deal with that early on in my career probably got me to a point where I’m quicker to say, ‘Oh, screw it,’ instead of trying to rip someone’s head off for asking questions that I don’t care about.” “I didn’t like it,” Aaron said in a 2017 interview with New York Magazine.

Don’t “analyze” your marriage.

“I just know it works. I just feel safe and loved and secure. We have this very deep connection. We’re just in sync,” Aaron said Mr. Porter in 2017.

For her part, Sam added: “If I thought about other people again, I would be the unhappiest person, probably still in a miserable marriage. People like to talk about it. I say, “Yeah, but it’s working better than my last marriage.” It [has] lasted longer than many of my friends’ marriages.”
