KKR vs PBKS: Watch – Gautam Gambhir Fights with the Match Official After KKR Was Denied a Single

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) mentor Gautam Gambhir was in top form during the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match against Punjab Kings (PBKS). The 42nd match of the tournament between the teams will take place at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

The Kolkata Knight Riders were in top form with the bat in the ongoing game against the Punjab Kings. The home side did their brutal best with the bat and made sure to put their opponents under pressure at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

It rained fours and sixes in Kolkata as the Shreyas Iyer-led side breathed fire with the bat. Amid all this, there was also a moment of seriousness that infuriated even Kolkata Knight Riders’ mentor Gautam Gambhir after his team failed to make the run.

During the last ball of the 14th over, Rahul Chahar bowled a short ball outside off. Andre Russell went to cover where Ashutosh Sharma stopped the ball. He threw the ball passed Jitesh Sharma and the batters took advantage of the opportunity to score a run and seal the single.

However, umpire Anil Chaudhary denied Kolkata Knight Riders’ single. The official stated that the ball was dead when the batters took the single and therefore the run was not scored. This infuriated KKR mentor Gautam Gambhir as he got up from his seat and chatted with a referee on the sidelines.
