Katy Perry Divorced: Her Marriage Story to Orlando Bloom

Katy Perry knows a thing or two about divorce. It’s painful, heartbreaking, and most of all no fun to have the world watch you grapple with the reality of uncoupling.

What’s the current situation with Orlando Bloom? The couple appears to be happy, but there are rumors that things could be reaching a breaking point.

Katy Perry divorced her first husband before Orlando

Once upon a time, Katy wasn’t married to a pirate, but to a comedian.

After a brief courtship, Russell Brand proposed to Katy on New Year’s Eve during a trip to Jaipur, India. A few months later, on October 23, 2010, they returned to the country to get married.

From the outside it looks like they are perfectly coordinated. However, the marriage was not meant to last. Katy Perry and Russell Brand’s divorce reportedly took months, although it initially only lasted 14 months.

According to reports at the time, Katy and Russell knew their relationship was on the rocks shortly after they got married. However, they didn’t want to give up on the marriage without making a concerted effort to work things out.

Then love ended, and moreover, the world actually watched the official moment of the end of their marriage on the screen.

Katy Perry’s divorce started with a text message

“He is a very smart man and I was in love with him when I married him. “Let’s just say I haven’t heard from him since he texted me saying he was divorcing me,” Katy admitted Fashion In 2013.

That was two years after the final divorce. Fans have long believed that this moment was actually documented in Katy’s concert documentary part of me.

A memorable scene from the film showed Katy bursting into tears after a text message from her then-husband, before picking herself up, dusting herself off and taking to the stage to perform to a packed venue.

Despite the text message and the fact that Russell had filed for divorce, Katy admitted in the same interview that she initially felt responsible for the marriage not working out.

“I felt very responsible for it ending, but then I found out the real truth, which I can’t necessarily reveal because I keep it locked in my safe for a rainy day. I let go and thought: It’s not me; That’s a mystery to me. So I left that behind.”

And she kept going!

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom’s wedding: When will they tie the knot?

For years, Katy had high-profile relationships with the hottest music acts of the time: John Mayer, Diplo and even Robert Pattinson. (Yes, Edward sings!)

But when she finally met Orlando Bloom in January 2016, a new chapter in her life began. Orlando, who is also divorced, quickly fell in love with her. After a brief separation in 2017, the two have been together ever since and even welcomed a daughter together.

Although the couple is engaged, they are yet to get married. However, wedding plans are in the works, say insiders, and 2024 is likely to be the year the two get married.

Without being married, they technically cannot get a divorce. So there is no need to worry.

But after Katy left American idol and plans for baby #2 are in the works, it feels like now for these two. Finally!
