Graveyard Smash

deadline Reports Wolf Creek Director Greg McLean has teamed up with Concourse Media and CinemaWays Graveyard Smashan action horror film in which “a young woman and her three best friends find themselves trapped in a virtual reality game where each level forces its players to survive a different genre of horror film.” When they learn that Since dying in the game means dying in real life, the friends are forced to hack, slash and fight their way to the toxic mastermind behind it all.”

David Lynch’s Snootworld

In conversation with deadlineDavid Lynch announced that Netflix had passed away Snootworldhis planned animated film, which he co-wrote Edward with the scissor hands And The Addams Family Screenwriter Caroline Thompson.

I don’t know when I started thinking about snoots, but I made these drawings of snoots and then a story started to develop. I met with Caroline and we worked on a script. Just recently I thought someone might be interested in being behind it, so I pitched it to Netflix over the last few months, but they turned it down. Snootworld is kind of an old-fashioned story and animation these days is more about superficial jokes. Old-fashioned fairy tales are considered groaners: apparently people don’t want to see them. It’s a different world now and it’s easier to say no than yes.

In the same interview, Thompson revealed that the film is about tiny creatures who get lost in a carpet after going through their people’s traditional shrinking ritual.

It takes my breath away how crazy this is. The snoots are these tiny creatures that go through a ritual transition at the age of eight. Then they get smaller and are sent away for a year to be protected. The world is thrown into chaos when the story’s snoot hero disappears into the carpet and his family can’t find him and he enters a crazy, great world.

Saw XI

deadline additionally reported Saw XI was delayed by a full year and will now be released in theaters on September 26, 2025.
