Force Gurkha 3-door and 5-door: New TVC Released

Force recently launched its all-five-door version of the popular Gurkha off-road SUV. The SUV is actually the extended version of the three-door version that is already available in stores. The 3-door version has also been updated and prices now start at Rs 16.75 lakh, ex-showroom, and the 5-door version is priced at Rs 18 lakh, ex-showroom. The manufacturer has also launched a new TVC showcasing both the SUVs.

The video was shared by Force Motors on their YouTube channel. The video starts with the 5-door version as this is the new introduction in the Force Motors range. The video is created completely digitally. The manufacturer has used digital renderings of the SUVs to demonstrate their performance at higher altitudes and rough terrain. Here you can see the round headlights with LED daytime running lights and lighting.

The SUV’s front grille has been slightly redesigned and features Gurkha branding. We don’t see the Force Motors logo anywhere. The fender lights are located in exactly the same place as on the 3-door version. The video shows 18-inch alloy wheels in a new design. The wheels are wrapped in all-terrain tires. Force was the only manufacturer to offer a functional snorkel from the factory with an SUV. This continues to apply to the five-door Gurkha.

The side profile of the SUV remains the same as the older version of the Gurkha. It retains the boxy G-Wagen-like design and with the addition of two more doors and increased length, the resemblance to the original G-Wagen is much greater.

The video then shows the interior of the SUV. The Gurkha 5-door is a three-row, 7-seater SUV. The car features captain’s seats in the last row. The second row of seats is a bench seat with a center armrest. The front seats are captain’s seats with individual armrests. The dashboard design of the SUV also remains the same as the older version.

There’s a new 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The vents are neatly placed on both sides of the screen. The instrument cluster of this Gurkha 2024 has also been updated. It now gets a 7-inch digital instrument cluster that displays all the necessary information including TPMS.

The manual shifter for the 4×4 has been removed and it now features an electronic dial with shift-on-the-fly functionality. The 7-seater or 5-door version of the SUV features roof-mounted air conditioning vents. The car is powered by the same engine as before. A 2.6-liter turbodiesel engine is used, producing 140 hp and 320 Nm of maximum torque.

The older version of the SUV used to only produce 91 horsepower. It is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and has four-wheel drive as standard. The SUV is also equipped with front and rear locking differentials.

The SUV competes with the Mahindra Thar 3-door and the upcoming 5-door Thar or the Armada as it is reportedly called. The Mahindra Thar will use the same 2.2-litre diesel and a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine as the three-door version.
