Amanda Seales recently discussed “protecting” Issa Rae, Emmanuel Acho’s attitude toward Angel Reese, and her autism diagnosis.
The comedian sat down for the latest episode of Shannon Sharpe’s podcast, Club Shay Shay, and sent lots of shots in different directions.

Amanda Seales talks about being diagnosed with autism
After asking the 42-year-old how she was doing, Shannon said: “That’s a tough question.”
Amanda has expressed that she is “to evolve” and received “A lot of information and a lot of slander at the same time.”
She continued, “The last month… it’s just been a very difficult time, but really beautiful things have come out of it…”
The actress shared that she recently received a diagnosis that helped her understand herself and life better.
“I was recently diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, which is very difficult to detect in black women due to racism.” Seales said.
She continued, “Usually it means that your brain works differently, so you are neurodivergent. And you also have certain tendencies that are outside of the neurotypical nature of things.”
She added, “And that can often lead to presenting yourself in a way that people misrepresent, which is the story of my damn life.”
Amanda’s problem with Issa Rae
Amanda also discussed the incident where she was kicked out of the Black Emmy party. Vanessa Anderson, Issa Rae’s publicist, was one of the people who planned the party. Seales claimed she put her on the list that banned her from participating, which led to her expulsion.
According to Seales, Issa called her a few days after the incident and said she heard what happened and wanted her to know “I have nothing to do with it. Would you be willing to talk to Vanessa?”
The host wanted more support from Issa.
Amanda said Issas “Role” in Hollywood and black America “is very important, that’s why I always protected” her.
Amanda claims that there were several instances where she should have been ““But it wasn’t protected by Issa.”
Seales calls out Emmanuel Acho
Additionally, the actress criticized sports analyst Emmanuel Acho’s comment on Angel Reese. As previously reported, the former NFL linebacker spoke harshly about Angel Reese’s feelings during a press conference following LSU’s loss to the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Amanda called him one “Cornball a** n****” for attacking Angel Reese because “She is a young person.”
“Do you know how disgusting this is?” she asked Shannon.
Seales said Acho wanted to be that one “The Savior of the Whites.”
“Talk to me white people, I’m the black guy who’s nice.” Cut it out. It is ridiculous,” she joked.
