Chris Hemsworth And Elsa Pataky are a perfect couple!
The couple got out to witness this Met Gala on Monday in New York City and were perfectly dressed for the theme, “Sleeping Beauty: Resurgent Fashion.”
The theme ties in with the evening’s dress code, “The Garden of Time,” which the Met Gala announced in February. According to the museum, the dress code is inspired by JG Ballard’s 1962 short story of the same name.

Hemsworth looked dapper in a white three-piece suit by Tom Ford as he stood next to his wife, who wore a sheer nude dress paired with a custom gold floral crown by Jennifer Behr.
As he prepares to co-chair this year’s highly anticipated Met Gala, Hemsworth tells ET’s Rachel Smith that he’s feeling the weight of the occasion, but is taking it all in stride with his trademark Aussie charm.
Discussing his role as co-chair of this year’s Met Gala, Hemsworth says: “No pressure at all, yeah, no pressure,” he quips, flashing his trademark grin.
Hemsworth is known for his roles in blockbuster films, where he often flaunts it all. He is no stranger to intimidating situations. However, when asked what was more nerve-wracking – the biggest fashion night or stripping down for a film – the actor doesn’t hesitate to answer. “Endure it all. It’s all pretty intimidating, but it’s fun, it’s fun,” he admits. “As you say, this is the first time we’ve been to the Met Gala.”
For Hemsworth, being named co-chair is both an honor and an exciting challenge. “So it’s a great honor to be chairman and it’s fun,” he shares. “It just sounds like a really fun evening. Everyone I’ve spoken to says it’s a great night, so we’re excited.”
While Hemsworth is used to donning elaborate costumes and armor on screen, his fashion choices also garnered attention off screen. When asked what his children think of his fashion statements, the actor playfully deflects and says their opinion might be better directed at his wife, Elsa Pataky. “You’ll have to ask her, I dunno,” he chuckles. “They’ll probably be impressed with mom’s outfit, you know, we’ll see what they think of dad’s outfit.”
Although the Thor Star is co-chair of this year’s event. The 2024 event will be the first time Hemsworth will walk up the iconic steps.

Max Hollein, CEO of The Met, said: a statement that the “innovative” exhibition – and the associated one star-studded annual fundraising gala – will “expand the boundaries of our imagination and invite us to experience the multisensory facets of a garment.”
According to the announcement, the exhibition will feature garments spanning over 400 years and will be “visually unified by an iconography linked to nature, which will serve as a metaphor for the fragility and transience of fashion.”
