Alex Cooper has officially said “yes” to boyfriend Matt Kaplan.
The couple exchanged vows in a stunning ceremony in the Riviera Maya in Mexico earlier this month, marking the beginning of their lifelong journey together.

“It was emotional and heartfelt, and we tailored it exactly how we always imagined it,” she says.
For Alex and Matt, privacy and intimacy were paramount as they chose a secluded setting with a small guest list consisting only of their closest loved ones.
“It was really important to us to keep the guest list small so we could meet each other and the people we love most and who have helped us become who we are today,” says Alex.

“We shot in my studio in West Hollywood,” Alex said W from Kaplan’s suggestion. “I remember the photo shoot feeling like it had no direction and I could tell everyone was hesitant. I had no idea that this was a fake photo shoot that my publicist and Matt had arranged to keep me out of the house, out of my sweatpants, and other hair, makeup, and nails so I could go with them Photos I’m happy. When I got home that night, my entire house was covered in candles, lights everywhere, music playing, and a scavenger hunt led to Matt proposing to me.
Alex added that it wasn’t until she met Kaplan that she entertained the idea of marriage. “So many marriages in my life are so unhealthy and unstable,” she explained. “A lot of people settle down and I refuse to do that. But with Matt, once our relationship got to the point where it was time, I knew straight away that I would love to marry him.”
The journey to the altar began in 2020 when Alex and Matt’s paths crossed during a Zoom business call. From Alex back then “Mr. Called “Sexy Zoom Man,” their connection was immediately clear. She kept her relationship largely secret, although she occasionally spoke about their romance on her podcast.
Now that they’re married, Alex is opening up a little more. On Wednesday, she shared a snap of her wedding cakes with the caption, “04/06/24.” One of the desserts was labeled “Mr. Sexy Zoom Man,” with “Man” crossed out and replaced with “Husband.” The second cake humorously read, “Oops, Daddy got married!”
As their wedding approached, the couple held a heartwarming pre-ceremony celebration in February, which was also attended by Matt’s beloved 100-year-old grandmother, who was unable to attend the wedding abroad.
“We had a little pre-wedding party with Matt’s 100-year-old grandma last night,” Alex shared on Instagram. “Unfortunately she can’t travel to our wedding, so we wanted to make her feel special and part of it all.”
