Just Launched Mahindra XUV700 Blaze Edition: What’s Changed? [Video]

Mahindra has just launched a new edition of its popular 7-seater SUV XUV700. Called the Mahindra XUV700 Blaze Edition, this new edition has only cosmetic changes. Prices start from 24.24 lakh. Earlier, a poster of the XUV700 Blaze Edition had surfaced on the internet and now a YouTube video has been uploaded by Anubhav Chauhan showing a walkthrough of this special edition car. Now let’s dive into the details and understand what this SUV offers.

The most significant change is the paint color of the SUV. The XUV700 is painted in a unique matte red shade that Mahindra calls “Mate Blaze Red Color”. This shade is complemented by Napoli Black elements around the SUV, including the roof, alloy wheels, front grille and exterior rear view mirrors (ORVMs). There is also a small Blaze Edition emblem on the front doors and tailgate. Several chrome elements around the car were replaced with dark chrome and silver elements with dark gray.

The host mentions that this particular car is the AX7L variant of the XUV700, which is priced at Rs. 25.79 Lakhs ex-showroom. Mahindra has also launched two more variants of the XUV700 Blaze Edition. Click here for more details.

After showing the outside, the presenter talks about the changes inside. The interior of the XUV700 is finished in a combination of beige and black. However, in the Blaze Edition, the interior is finished in a much sportier style, all black with red accents.

The edging of the ventilation slots, the seams of the dashboard and the seat covers as well as the accents in the center console are finished in red. Similar to the exterior, the chrome elements have been replaced with dark chrome, which increases the visual appeal. Several glossy black elements were added to the interior.

A small Blaze Edition logo was embroidered on the second row headrests. Based on the top variant of the Way system electrically adjustable driver’s seat.

There are two engine options available to power the XUV700: a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. The petrol engine produces 197 hp and 380 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the diesel engine comes in two versions: a less powerful version with 153 HP in lower variants and a more powerful version with 183 HP in higher variants. This engine produces a maximum torque of 400 Nm. For the Blaze edition, Mahindra has opted exclusively for the more powerful diesel.

With a 5-star crash test rating from GNCAP, the Mahindra The Blaze Edition will compete with other 7-seater SUVs such as the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, Hyundai Alcazar and the upcoming Toyota Hyryder 7-seater and Grand Vitara 7-seater.
