One of the songs, “Lunch,” came about as the 22-year-old artist was exploring her own sexuality. The songwriting process involved a very important self-discovery.
“This song was actually part of what helped me become who I am, to be real,” said Billie Eilish. “I wrote part of it before I ever did anything with a girl, and I wrote the rest after.”
In “Lunch,” Billie Eilish has such a crush on a girl that she “compares having sex with her to devouring a meal.”
