It’s been five years since Disney bought 20th Century Fox, and we’re finally seeing that really pay off on the film side. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes coming to cinemas next week, Alien: Romulus And Deadpool and Wolverine are later this summer. Which Fox films are next in line for a comeback? The Maze runner Series, of course.
Per the Hollywood Reporter20th Century Studios wants to reissue the young science fiction films for a new generation. Leading this effort is author Jack Paglen, best known for the 2014 sci-fi thriller transcendence starring Johnny Depp. Sources speaking to THR claim that the reboot aims to continue the original story while returning to the roots of the original film.
In case you forgot: the original Maze runner– Directed by Wes Ball, who directs kingdom (and finally Legend of Zelda) and will produce this new film, released in 2014 and based on the dystopian young adult books by James Dashner. Dylan O’Brien starred as an amnesiac child named Thomas who woke up on a large lawn in other boys’ house, which was also surrounded by a house firmly Labyrinth.
