• Bentley Mulliner’s latest creation will debut on May 7th.
  • Only 16 examples of the new special Bentley will be produced.
  • Bentley says this will be the “most powerful iteration” of the W12 engine.

Bentley has announced a new special model from its Mulliner division, joining models such as the Bacalar and Batur. The grand tourer will debut on May 7 and looks very similar to the Continental-based Batur, albeit without a roof. Production will be limited to 16 units, all powered by the W12 engine in its most powerful form.

The “third body Bentley of the modern era” appears to share the front bumper, headlights and taillights with the Batur coupe, introduced in 2022. The official video teaser suggests a two-door convertible body style and leads us to believe it’s based on the Continental GTC underpinnings. We can also see the sculpted lines of the rear deck and a ducktail spoiler at the rear.

The handcrafted nature of the model and extremely limited production numbers allow for a higher level of personalization compared to the regular Bentley range. Each example is tailored precisely to the preferences of the lucky owners and features exclusive exterior and interior options. We also expect accents made from expensive materials, like the 3D printed 18-karat gold accents that were also available as an option on the Batur coupe.

According to the press release, the new model will be one of the last Bentleys ever to use the W12 engine in its “most powerful version.” Note that the 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged W12 has already been phased out of regular Bentley production models, making way for electrified powertrains. Under the hood of the Bentley Mulliner Batur is the most powerful version to date, producing a whopping 740 hp (552 kW / 751 PS) and 737 lb-ft (1,000 Nm) of torque.

The 16 units of the new Bentley Mulliner model are likely to have already been taken. This very limited edition makes it more exclusive than the Batur (18 units), but less than the Bacalar (12 units). Bentley hasn’t revealed the price, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it passes the $2 million mark before options.
