Bachelor Nation’s Arie Luyendyk Jr. regrets his quick decision to get circumcised.
During a question and answer session on Instagram on Monday, April 29, Luyendyk, 42, was asked if he and his wife Lauren Burnhamwants more children.
“A year ago I would have 100% said no, but I feel more and more like I rushed the vasectomy,” the reality star admitted in a response shared on his Story. “I don’t know what the future holds yet, but [right now] I love this phase with them.”
Luyendyk and Burnham, 32, already share daughter Alessi, 4, and twins Senna and Lux, 2. The couple tied the knot in 2019 after meeting on season 22 of The bachelor in 2017. Luyendyk first gave his final rose Becca Kufrin but then regretted that he did not pursue an engagement with Burnham, who came second. During the live performance, he proposed to Burnham After the last rose Special in March 2018.
The couple previously shared the details of Luyendyk’s vasectomy experience in a February 2022 vlog.
“He was white as a ghost. I thought he was going to pass out,” Burnham said.
Luyendyk, meanwhile, called the procedure “horrible,” although he didn’t want to “discourage every man from having a vasectomy.”
“If I were to describe it [it] For another man, it’s the same feeling of being kicked in the balls as hard as someone could do you,” he said. “It just shoots into your stomach and you just feel a pulling sensation.”
Burnham added that it was Luyendyk’s “turn” to make a sacrifice given her sensitivity to hormonal birth control.
“It causes mild depression for me, so it’s been hard for us in the past when I’ve done it,” she explained.
While Burnham said at the time that Luyendyk’s vasectomy was the right decision for her, she told this exclusively Us weekly Later that month, she said she was “not necessarily ready” to close the door on expanding her family.
“I know it’s hard right now [with three kids under 3]”But once we get out of this room, I might want another one,” she said. “Who knows?”
Luyendyk added that vasectomies are “reversible if we have grief in five years.”
The former Bachelor often shares insights into his father’s life via social media. Earlier this month, he posted several snaps from his “first father-daughter outing” with Senna.
“It was everything I imagined. She is just the cutest,” he wrote in the caption.
He previously shared a video of Lux and Senna in October 2023 lamenting how quickly they are growing up.
“POV: When you suddenly realize your babies aren’t babies anymore. It goes by too quickly,” he captioned the clip. “Hold on to them, these are the moments you will look back on.”
Burnham echoed that sentiment in the comments section.
“Too fast😭😭😭,” she wrote.
