  • Pininfarina has introduced four special editions inspired by Bruce Wayne.
  • They are based on the B95 and Battista and cost about $3.6 million.
  • The cars feature a handful of unique features, including aerodynamic and design improvements over the Battista.

Batman’s alter ego is getting an upgrade as Automobili Pininfarina has struck a deal with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products and Relevance International. The end result is a series of “custom-designed all-electric vehicles inspired by DC’s Bruce Wayne.”

Regardless of which model is chosen, all feature unique door sills and “Wayne Enterprises-inspired HMI display enhancements with an instructional voice inspired by Bruce Wayne’s loyal butler and assistant Alfred Pennyworth.” All four cars also feature a 120-kWh -Lithium-ion battery that powers a four-wheel drive system with four motors and an output of 1,874 hp (1,398 kW / 1,900 hp). This allows them to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than two seconds.

Although the vehicles share many similarities, the Battista features a unique design that “includes tailgate shark fins and louvered openings in the front and rear carbon fiber wings to improve overall aerodynamic efficiency toward the rear air brake and vehicle side body.” The model also features logos for Wayne Enterprises as well as an “all-new door and roof design, with a large portion of the roof made of curved glass to brighten the interior ambience.”

As for trim differences, the Gotham variants “reflect the gentler, civilian sophistication of Bruce Wayne.” They have bodywork by Argento Vittorio and a roof by Nero Torino. Buyers will also find an illuminated logo and 20- and 21-inch wheels with gloss and matte black finishes. Inside there is light brown leather and light brown contrast stitching.

The Dark Knight specification features the caped crusader with a black leather and Alcantara interior with gold contrast stitching. There is also a Nero Profondo body, a Nero Torino roof and ceramic-polished wheels.

The vehicles are available from BruceWayneX.com and the Battistas cost €3,400,000 ($3,630,928 / £2,903,980). The B95s, on the other hand, cost €4,900,000 ($5,232,808 / £4,185,237).

While kids typically grow up wanting to be Batman, the decision to focus on Bruce Wayne is interesting since he’s practically a trust fund baby who got rich when his parents were killed. That’s perhaps telling about Automobili Pininfarina’s clientele.
