More details on Wizkid and Davido’s viral exchange

The conflict between Wizkid and Davido apparently came to light on Monday, April 29, on X, formerly known as Twitter. Back then Wizkid shared a message about an unnamed artist, his crew and music.

“You and your whole crew and your pants washer songwriter go to sleep at night thinking that you’re actually ahead of me in music…” I wish you all the best…” he wrote.

Shortly after, Wizkid tweeted a few more words.

“You know what? It makes no sense. delusional n***s… Pray for all of you,” he added.

Davido apparently caught wind of Wizkid’s follow-up tweet and republished his words with an answer.

“We are not delusional, you are a sick man”?

Wizkid retweeted Davido’s words along with what looks like a video of the Afrobeats star in which he appears to be crying. The video had the caption: “This is the one you’re all attacking me about? Leave me alone.”

Additionally, Wizkid added laughing emojis to the clip.

Then Davido Wizkid replied with a few more words to describe his career.

“That’s what I was thinking. Nothing to say! That’s exactly why I stopped wasting my influence and risking my millions of dollars in endorsements for someone whose career revived a few years ago only to die again. NEXT!! “

Then Wizkid seemed to retreat of public exchange with a few words.

I won’t get tired, I’ll go to sleep… Jesus is King”

In the meantime, Davido continued to share more words via Wizkid.

Afrobeats stars are the latest artists to take their skills to the public

On April 7, 2023, Hot 97 released a video interview with Davido via YouTube. About 11 minutes into the session, he revealed that he and Wizkid had had a “rift” for 12 years.

However, he explained at the time that they had “recently” “chopped things up.” It is currently unclear what has led to a new rift between the artists.

Meanwhile, Davido and Wizkid are not the only artistes embroiled in public controversies. In March, according to The Shade Room, a rift broke out between Drake and Kendrick Lamar after Lamar took a shot at the “6 God” on Future & Metro Boomin’s single “Like That.”

Since then, feuds have also erupted between Drake and Rick Ross and spread to the rest of the rap game, with JT and Yung Miami trading words, JT and GloRilla trading shots, and Chris Brown and Quavo trading rap diss.
