Zendaya to Host the Met Gala 2024: Why Tom Holland Won’t Be There

After a four-year absence, Zendaya will definitely be at the 2024 Met Gala – but without Tom Holland.

Since Zendaya always makes a splash at the event dubbed the “Oscars of fashion,” it’s exciting to know that she’ll be 100% there this year.

But fans will probably be disappointed to see her at the event without her favorite accessory: her boyfriend.

Zendaya will co-host the 2024 Met Gala with Jennifer Lopez

On February 15, the theme and co-chairs of the 2024 Met Gala were officially announced.

The Costume Institute’s spring exhibition will be titled “Sleeping Beauty: Fashion Resurgent” and, as always, will serve as the theme for opening night.

However, the official dress code for the evening is “The Garden of Time.”

Bad Bunny, Chris Hemsworth, Jennifer Lopez and Zendaya were named as hosts.

And a hostess can’t miss her own party!

This is a pleasing comeback for them euphoria Star who hasn’t been on the red carpet at NYC’s biggest of the season since 2019.

It’s a shame she can’t simply recycle this year’s outfit. Remember, she looked like Cinderella!

Why Tom Holland won’t be attending the 2024 Met Gala with Zendaya

Although Zendaya has attended the Met Gala five times throughout her career, she has never attended the event with her longtime boyfriend Tom Holland.

Actually, Tom Holland has never been to the Met Gala! With his girlfriend hosting, 2024 seems like the perfect time for his debut.

Except it’s very unlikely to happen. Don’t worry, it’s not because they broke up.

Because the Met Gala always takes place on the first Monday in May. In 2024 that means Monday, May 6th.

Starting this spring, Tom Holland will take on the role of Romeo in Jamie Lloyd’s new production Romeo and Juliet at the Duke of York’s Theater in London.

Tickets for the production sold out in minutes as fans couldn’t wait to see Tom up close and personal.

The production runs from May 11 to August 3, meaning its premiere takes place five days before the Met Gala.

Is it now physically possible for him to do both? Naturally! A flight from London to NYC takes 6-7 hours. There’s nothing better than flying from Tokyo to Las Vegas. (Right Taylor Swift?!)

But will his schedule allow it? That is the real question.

It would be a real shame to miss a beautiful night, but our senses tell us that he won’t have time to get away.

He also caught a lot of eyes for this show – and not just from fans!

Tom Holland is condemned for his silence as costar endures racist abuse from trolls

Francesca Amewudah-Rivers, Tom’s co-star in Jamie Lloyd’s West End production of Romeo and Julietwas subjected to a barrage of racist insults following her casting announcement.

Initially, Tom came under intense scrutiny for not personally and publicly denouncing the hatred towards his Julia. To date, even in the week leading up to the show, he has yet to post anything in support of Francesca.

But maybe that will be saved for opening night.
