Updated 2025 Genesis GV80 Priced Close to Previous Model – Autoblog

Announced in U.S. spec last November, Genesis has upped the sweetness of its 2025 GV80 SUV with a host of new interior features. Inside, the previously separate digital instrument cluster and infotainment touchscreen have been combined into a single 27-inch OLED display. Ahead, a three-spoke steering wheel centered around a tidy stitched leather hub replaces the wishbone wheel we have now. On the right side, a more consistent console design with a waterfall-like trim extends from the multimedia buttons and HVAC control panel – with buttons for air conditioning volume and temperature! – to a central tunnel with a newly designed wireless charging pad. The new pad arrangement makes the phone more visible than the current GV80 and frees up space for larger cup holders. Second-row passengers can enjoy the sights through the rear windows or on the rear entertainment screens, with each screen being a 14.6-inch device that hangs from the front seatbacks.

Microlens headlights that shine down from higher up are part of the standard equipment here. On the technical side, OTA updates are added, as are Type-C USB ports and fingerprint authentication. The front brake calipers were converted to four-piston calipers. New exterior colors include Storr Green and Storr Green Matte, new two-tone cabin colors include Smoky Green/Vanilla Beige, Ultramarine Blue/Glacier White, Smoky Green/Earth Brown and Slate Grey/Bordeaux Brown.

Powertrains consist of either a 2.5-liter turbo four-cylinder with 300 hp and 311 Nm of torque or a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 with 375 hp and 391 Nm.

An optimized structure confuses the price comparison at the lower end. The 2.5T starts at $57,700 after the $1,350 destination charge, and it looks like the base price hasn’t changed here. However, it appears that Genesis has removed some features from the entry-level variant to maintain the same base price. The 2024 GV80 2.5T Standard was equipped with items such as a heated steering wheel and manual blinds for the rear windows. In 2025, buyers will have to pay another $1,000 to get the 2.5T. We have included all trim prices for the model year. The totals and their differences from 2024 are:

  • GV80 2.5T standard: $59,050 (no modification but less equipment)
  • GV80 2.5T: $60,050 ($1,000)
  • GV80 2.5T Choose: $62,950 (new equipment)
  • GV80 2.5T Advanced: $66,950 ($1,400)
  • GV80 2.5T Prestige: $71,800 ($1,000)
  • GV80 3.5T Advanced: $75,150 (no change)
  • GV80 3.5T Prestige: $80,650 (no change)

We are waiting for the prices for the GV80 Coupe. Among the obvious changes, such as the shortened rear end, the coupe’s engine options include either the aforementioned V6 as standard equipment or a range-topping version of the 3.5 backed by an electrified supercharger. Hyundai says the combination will have an output of 409 horsepower.
