Would you dare to reach the Engler V12 Quad Bike's top speed of 250 MPH?

  • The Engler V12 features a massive 1,184 horsepower engine, making it an incredibly powerful and potentially dangerous vehicle.
  • This quad can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 400 km/h, rivaling the performance of high-end sports cars.
  • Only 20 Engler V12 engines will be built, one of which is reserved by the founder, making it an extremely exclusive example.

In 2019, Engler Automotive shocked the world with its unique vision of automotive performance: a quad powered by the 5.2-liter V10 from an Audi R8. Now they’re upping the ante doubtful Impressive concept: a quad with a V12 engine. And yes, it’s just as crazy as it sounds.

In a video, company founder Viktor Engler said he was dared to build the Engler V12 by a customer who longed for something even more exclusive and crazy than the first creation. Clearly not the type to shy away from a challenge, the CEO decided to embrace the crazy idea.

“At a time marked by discussions about downsizing, reduced cylinder counts, disappearing engine displacements and the rise of hybrid vehicles, we decided to take a different path,” said Engler, who added that his company aims to give customers that to offer “Unique sound, power and madness that only a V12 can deliver.”

And madness is the right word. The Engler V12 weighs 2,645 lbs (1,200 kg) without fluids and without a driver, while the engine puts out an impressive 1,184 hp (883 kW / 1,200 hp) and 885 lb-ft (1,200 Nm) of torque.

Engler has not yet revealed where the company gets the V12 engine from, but has developed its own transmission for it. The eight-speed dual-clutch “microbox” weighs just 30kg, making it the lightest transmission in the world, capable of producing 1,184 horsepower, according to the automaker.

A month ago the transmission was still in development, but once complete, the company estimates the powertrain will be able to propel the Engler V12 to 62 mph in just 2.5 seconds, on top of its 62 mph top speed of 250 mph (400 km/h).

The Engler V12 features a carbon fiber monocoque and all body panels are made of 3D printed parts made of carbon graphite material. The wheels are 20 inches in diameter, wrapped in Michelin Sport Cup 2 tires and made from forged magnesium.

Only 20 Engler V12s will be built, but only 19 will be sold as Viktor Engler plans to keep one for himself. The company hasn’t revealed how much the vehicle costs, but if you’re crazy enough to drive one, the price should be the least of your worries.
