The BMO Celebrating Women Grant Program Will Launch in 2024 to Support Women-owned Businesses

BMO will continue its work in collaboration with Deloitte Canada BMO celebrates the Women Grant program. The aim of the initiative is to support real financial progress for women-led businesses.

BMO is pledging a total of $100,000 CAD to ten women-owned businesses that can demonstrate how they are achieving at least two of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).

Each scholarship recipient receives $10,000 CAD. They also receive support from BMO business advisors and have access to additional resources to support their company’s financial progress. This contains BMO for women Workshops, seminars and events, possible membership in selected organizations and/or advisory boards.

“Women-owned businesses are a cornerstone of a thriving economy and drivers of real change as challengers to the status quo, innovators and leaders for the next generation,” said Sharon Haward-Laird, BMO General Counsel and Executive Sponsor of BMO for Women.

“Research consistently shows that women-led companies adopt innovations and sustainability initiatives more easily. BMO Celebrating Women Grant Program: 56 companies supported since 2020

Inspired by BMO’s purpose to boldly grow the good in business and in life, and the Bank’s commitment to providing dual support to women-led businesses BMO celebrates the Women Grant program was launched in 2020. Within four years, the program was expanded to reach a variety of sectors and industries. It has supported 56 women-owned businesses across North America, providing over $500,000 to program grant recipients and connecting them with business advisors and a vibrant professional network.
