If you’re having trouble with your Apple ID this week, you’re not alone.
An unknown outage is reportedly affecting Apple users who were logged out of their Apple IDs over the weekend and were forced to reset their password before regaining access to their accounts.
The drain 9 to 5 Mac reported that some users were logged out across all of their devices and their usual passwords no longer worked.

It seems that at least some of us are having issues with our iCloud/Apple ID accounts that require us to reset our passwords and log in again.
Anyone else?

Apple simply asked me to enter my AppleID password and then asked for my phone passcode.
Then I locked my account and requested that I reset my AppleID password

Hey @Apple : I haven’t been able to access my Apple TV+ account for almost a month. It says my ID/PWD is invalid even though I haven’t changed it. When I try to reset the password I get caught in a vicious loop of being told you can’t verify my identity and need to call me.

That’s exactly what happened to me this evening. I had to jump through all sorts of hoops to reset my Apple password, and it turns out I learned ZERO “important places.” Now all apps (like Calendar 5) that require Apple ID access will be fixed. Irritating… https://t.co/m61XgG22Qv

The problems reportedly began around 8:00 p.m. ET on Friday and continued into the weekend.
On Tuesday morning, it was reported that the Apple ID section of Apple’s system status page was available and functioning normally.
One user on Threads claims an Apple representative told him there were “no issues” with iCloud login when explaining the situation.
As of Tuesday afternoon, users appear to be able to get around the problem by resetting their passwords. However, for users with multiple Apple devices, the ordeal presents a number of problems.
For those who have Apple’s Stolen Device Protection enabled, which adds an extra layer of security to iCloud accounts, if your device is stolen, it may take an hour or longer to reset passwords or perform certain functions if the device is not connected in a familiar place.
For example, if you were on vacation and tried to reset your password when prompted to log in again, you would not be able to do so due to security delays.

Additionally, any app-specific passwords stored in your Apple ID will also be reset, which can cause a massive headache when you log into the apps again.
Apple has not yet fixed the reported outage and did not immediately respond to it Entrepreneur Please comment.
