What Travis Kelce Thinks of Taylor Swift’s New Music

Travis Kelce is one with the Swifties. Fans continue to speculate about the inspiration behind the songs Taylor Swift‘s new album, The Tortured Poets DepartmentA source tells ET that Kelce is one of her biggest champions.

“Travis is so supportive of the entire album and loves being a part of Taylor’s story,” a source tells ET. “He’s a Swiftie through and through and very proud of her.”

Swift surprised fans with a surprise double album drop on Friday, releasing 31 brand new tracks to the world. Listeners quickly heard two new love songs, “The Alchemy” and “So High School,” which many believe are odes to her relationship with Kelce.

For “The Alchemy,” Swift offers a lot of football references.

“So when I land / Call out the amateurs and cut them from the team / Leave the clowns behind, get the crown / Baby, I’m the one to beat / ‘Cause the mark on your heart / Said it “Be still reserved for me / Honestly, who are we to fight alchemy?” Swift sings in the chorus.

In the bridge, Swift seems to be hinting at a major victory – not unlike this one The Kansas City Chiefs’ numerous victories on the way to Super Bowl LVIII.

“Shirts come off and your friends lift you up over their heads / Beer sticks to the floor, cheers are shouted because they say / ‘There was no chance of being the best in the league’ / Where’s the trophy?” He just comes and runs towards me,” she explains.

Then, in “So High School,” the 34-year-old singer sings about the joy of a new romance that conquers her I feel like a teenager. The lyrics suggest a lover with a wicked sense of humor, not unlike her current boyfriend.

“I want to laugh again in the middle of training / At that impression you made of your father again,” she sings in the song’s second verse. For his part, Kelce is known for giving impressions of his father, Ed Kelce, on his podcast. New heights.

In signature Swift style, the album is also packed with heartbreaking songs – including “See you then, London” and “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived” – which are rumored to be about her past relationships with Joe Alwyn And Matty Healy. She also released a diss track titled “Thanks, AIMee“that had fans She revisits her years-long feud with Kim Kardashian due to the obvious capitalization of “KIM” in the title.

“Expressing herself through her music has always been therapeutic for Taylor,” ET’s source tells us. “It gives her the opportunity to move forward, feel empowered and translate her experiences into art.”

With their Eras shows set to resume in the UK and Europe next month, Kelce recently told ET that he’ll be there with bells.

“There won’t be a bad show, I promise you,” he said. “You know I have to go for support.”

Kelce will also host his second annual Kelce Jam on May 18 in Kansas City.
