Vanderpump Rules star Ally Lewber (Now) thinks she slept with her boyfriend James Kennedy is “a dream in the truest sense of the word.”
“The sleeping arrangements are great. We sleep in the same bed [with our dog] Hippie every night,” Ally, 28, shared exclusively Us weekly On Tuesday, April 23, the same day the episode aired, it was revealed that they were sleeping in separate rooms because of their pets. “We have our little routine. This is my favorite part of the day.”
Fans watched earlier this season as James, 32, reunited with the dog he previously co-parented with his ex Rachel “Raquel” Leviss. James then renamed the pooch Hippie.
While Ally, who has two cats, was initially apprehensive about owning the pet, she is now all about the dog. “I feel completely different,” Ally said. “He’s my baby and I love him so much and I’m obsessed with him.”
Ally and James even “cuddle” in bed with Hippie and her cat Banks. “Hippie now sleeps where Banks used to sleep,” Ally explained Us. “And at that time during filming I was really upset because it was hard for me. I felt sorry for my cats. They kind of lost out there, but now Banks and Hippie are friends, thank God.”
Ally noted that the couple’s cat, Bodhi, is “still a little shy” about adding another furry friend to the mix. “Bodhi follows Banks’ example in everything, so I’m not worried,” Ally said. “I am really happy.”
While Ally and James’ relationship appears to be in good shape at the moment, viewers watched as they struggled with Hippie’s arrangements as they planned to travel to their friend’s wedding.
Subsequently, VPR Costar Lala Kent commented that James came “first” in their relationship – which Ally agreed “felt a bit like that at the time.”
“I was kind of glad she said it then,” Ally recalled Lala saying. “I thought, ‘Wait a minute, yeah, I made some compromises.’ And I just asked that he come to the wedding. At this point I definitely get it. But I also understood where he was coming from.”
Ally added that she and James, who have been together since January 2022, are “pretty good” at being there for each other. “I mean, he just helps support me in music and doing that and being in the music video,” she said. “So I think we support each other equally.”
As for whether wedding bells and baby bottles are in the couple’s future, Ally shared that she and James are “on the same page” — but possibly different timelines.
“He wants children. I definitely know he wants to get married,” Ally said. “I’m not in a big rush and I think he’ll just take it all. He’s fast, he moves fast and I’m a little slower. If it happens, it happens, but he understands.”
Ally added that she was “so happy,” referencing her career in astrology, and noted that James was “so busy.”
“I also ask myself: where would we have the time? I think that’s just not the chapter we’re in right now,” she said. “So we’ve had more conversations about it and we’re on the same page.”
Vanderpump Rules airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo and is available to stream the next day on Peacock.
