India women expanded their dominance Bangladesh in the second Women’s T20I and secured a comprehensive 19-run win in the rain-affected match at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday, April 30. Dayalan Hemalathaโs outstanding performance proved crucial to Indiaโs triumph and earned her the Player of the Match award.
India’s spinners shine
After opting to bat, the Bangladesh women struggled against the Indian bowling attack. Despite Murshida KhatunDue to the valiant performance of 46 runs, Bangladesh managed only a total of 119 runs before being eliminated.
Radha Yadav proved to be an outstanding bowler for India, taking three wickets for 19 runs. Deepti Sharma And Shreyanka Patil also contributed significantly by securing two wickets each. However, Renuka Singh had a bad day and conceded 40 runs in her reign.

India’s batting innings started shaky Shafali Verma Departure on a golden duck. However, Smriti Mandhana and Hemalatha steadied the ship through a crucial partnership. Hemalatha in particular showed off her aggressive batting style and scored 41 runs off just 24 deliveries. When play was interrupted by rain in the sixth over, India were well ahead of the DLS score, largely due to Hemalatha’s attack.
