She’s here in handicap company for a yard traveling from North Yorkshire in the hope that the 500 mile round trip will be worth it. She won this course on debut last year and will do well here too.
5.00 Yarmouth – The in-form Nighteyes lead a talented field
Night eyes She finally got ahead on her final start last season when she won over six furlongs at Ripon. The David O’Meara-trained daughter of Night Of Thunder was admirably consistent in her five starts, finishing second three times. A grade of 80 looks tough enough and she will need to improve from her season debut to achieve the grade QuinnBet Fillies’ Handicap.
Royal Elysian returned to action at Southwell in the season and traveled well despite tiring late on. If she improves through this, she will be fine here again. Shin Jidai ran well in a hot nursery in Newmarket and appears here again. If she increases this performance, she has a great chance.
