Tisha Campbell Was “asked” to Join Real Housewives but Declined

Tisha Campbell was approached about making a big pivot to reality television — but the stars didn’t quite align.

In an exclusive interview with Us weeklyCampbell, 55, was asked if she would ever consider joining The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

“I was asked,” Campbell revealed. “But now is not the right time. I’m not against it, it’s just not the right time.”

“I’m not brave enough to share something like that,” Campbell said. “You have to be brave.”

Still, she praised former reality stars who have made the transition from their roots to bigger and better things.

“People like [Basketball Wives star] Tami Roman turned it into a different career,” Campbell noted of Roman’s acting career. “[Love & Hip Hop: New York star] Cardi B turned it into a different career. I love this. Kudos to whoever does this.”

She continued: “There can be downsides. But there can also be advantages. And these two are perfect examples.”
