The valley goes one step further by using unaired footage to trace the origins of the Michelle Lally Affair rumor – back to Jax Taylor.
In a preview of next week’s episode: Kristen Doute told Jasmine Goode that she wasn’t the first person to speculate about Michelle’s personal life on the show. Kristen, 41, points out that Jax, 44, was the one who mentioned the rumor to Jasmine — not Kristen.
“Who’s the only other person talking about this right now?” Jax,” Kristen says. “He’s the one who told me at lunch a few weeks ago.”
Kristen elaborates on this in a confessional, adding, “So here’s the secret. From what Michelle told me, she was texting with someone who didn’t [her husband] Jesse [Lally]. I think she had an emotional affair with this guy.”
A flashback shows Jax and Kristen in a lunch scene that appears to have been filmed at the beginning of the season.
“I’m afraid to bring this up because it’s not my job to do it. It’s about Michelle. There was another guy who… You’re not filming this, are you?” Jax asks the producers.
After Kristen pointed out that their conversation would be filmed “of course,” Jax continued. “I don’t want to get in trouble for saying that,” he says. I just don’t want to because Brittany [Cartwright] told me in confidence. My wife will kill me. I could ruin a marriage. I can’t do that.”
After lunch, Kristen received a message from Jax.
“Don’t repeat anything personal to Michelle, you could destroy a life and I don’t know if it’s true… and you told my wife and now she’s mad at me why would you repeat something when you don’t know the facts ” he wrote via Screenshots are displayed on the screen. “Please don’t open your mouth about something like that…please. It’s not our place. Okay, please don’t bring something like that up… I never said it [sic] Camera. I heard a rumor.”
Kristen wrote back: “What are you talking about? I haven’t even spoken to Brittany yet. You’re the one who said it [redacted] in front of the camera, which I’ve never heard of. Don’t write me crazy messages [redacted]. I’m filming right now.”

During the first season of The valley Until now, Kristen has been largely blamed for spreading rumors about Michelle, 36, and Jesse’s marriage. Kristen mentioned in previous episodes that Michelle reportedly had a “secret boyfriend” before splitting from Jesse, 43, as production came to an end.
Michelle has denied the claims on social media. Meanwhile, Jesse told exclusively Us weekly how Kristen’s behavior caused a rift in their friendship.
“We had a good relationship and haven’t spoken since. We didn’t speak at all. And [her boyfriend] Luke [Broderick] and I’m cordial – mostly I talk about things related to the show,” Jesse shared earlier this month. “But yeah, I mean, it’s sad. You hate losing friends.”

Jesse also told us that he heard about the cheating rumors for the “first time” when the episode premiered.
“I saw it when everyone else saw it. I distinctly remember leaving [after the fight] and went downstairs. Kristen and Luke had left and my adrenaline was pumping so much,” he remembers. “I had no idea I met Brittany. I literally turned my microphone back on, went upstairs, entered the room and immediately apologized to Brittany. I had no idea about the whole Luke and Kristen transformation and no one said it [anything] me. It was the first time I heard it.”
