Tata Harrier Owner Buys Facelifted Harrier After SUV Saves Him in Accident [Video]

Tata cars are known for their build quality and we have seen several cases where passengers in Tata cars have survived serious accidents without any injuries. Here we have one such story about a couple from Pune who bought a facelift Tata Harrier after the pre-facelift version of the SUV saved their lives in an accident.

The video was shared by DDS on their YouTube channel. In this video, the presenter speaks to the couple who recently bought the Tata Harrier facelift. The couple mentions that they have previously used a Tata Harrier Dark Edition. The SUV was almost three months old and only had 5,000 km on the clock.

On a rainy day, when the couple was traveling in the city, a Maruti Brezza SUV hit the SUV and severely damaged the car. The impact was so severe that the Harrier was thrown into a divider in the middle of the road. The airbags deployed on time and all occupants were safe. Both exited the SUV uninjured.

The occupants of the Maruti Brezza were injured and taken to the nearby hospital. The impact was so bad that the spare tire mounted under the floor fell off and the engine also fell from the front onto the road. The car was taken to the service center and the insurance was claimed. Upon inspection, the insurance company found that the repair cost of this SUV was around Rs 25 lakh, which was way more than the price of the vehicle.

They therefore declared the damage a total loss and the lawsuit was accepted. After that, the couple started looking for other options. They drove cars like Hyundai Creta, Mahindra XUV300, Volkswagen Taigun and many other models in the market. A few days after the accident, the facelift of the Harrier and Safari also came onto the market.

The customer finally made up his mind and booked the Harrier. However, he had to wait almost three months before he could receive the delivery. During these three months, several thoughts came to his mind. He even planned to cancel his booking with Tata and get a Hyundai Creta.

Harrier owner buys another Harrier

Just as he was about to do it, he received a call from the Tata dealer informing him that his car had arrived and they could collect it at the earliest. The customer has purchased the Pure+ S variant which has all the necessary features such as automatic climate control, panoramic sunroof, rear air conditioning vents, 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, multi-function steering wheel, cruise control, fully digital instrument cluster, etc.

The owner mentions that with the introduction of BS6 Phase 2, he feels the engine in the Harrier facelift has become much more refined. The hydraulic steering wheel has also been updated and the facelift now features electric power steering, which is much lighter and easier to use in the city.

The owner mentions that he has had no problems with the vehicle so far and has had good experiences with the dealer and the service center with both the older and the newly purchased Harrier. The build quality of the SUV was the reason why they chose Harrier again. Tata Harrier and Safari both received a 5-star rating in the NCAP crash test in Bharat.
