An unreleased video clip of Rohit Sharma talking about comeback king Dinesh Karthik on the show ‘Great Kapil Sharma’ is going viral on all social media platforms.
In it, Kapil Sharma asked about the superstitions that players follow before matches and the one who follows most of these rituals. Both guests – Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer – agreed on the name of Dinesh Karthik, who is currently playing in the IPL 2024 for Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

Responding to this question, Rohit Sharma confirmed in his traditional Mumbai dialect that Dinesh Karthik was the one who harbored many superstitions.
Rohit then quickly changed his statement from “he used to be” to “he still has that”. It was Rohit’s way of pointing out the longevity of the wicket-keeper batsman and claiming that DK was also the one with the most comebacks in the Indian team.
The Indian captain then highlighted Dinesh Karthik’s number of comebacks and praised the Karnataka-based cricketer for bringing a new superstition with him each time. Rohit then narrated an incident during India’s tour of England in 2018.
India batted at Lord’s. Rohit was watching the game with his teammates and Ravichandran Ashwin was sitting next to him.
Next it was Dinesh Karthik’s turn and suddenly he stunned Rohit Sharma with a superstition of his own. Rohit said that DK started doing push-ups and then abruptly stood up and started skipping with a rope.
This startled Rohit Sharma, who then asked him what he was planning to do. While Karthik said nothing, Ravi Ashwin, who was sitting next to Rohit, asked him to let DK do his thing and that this was just his new quirk.
“Dinesh Karthik had many superstitions. Dinesh Karthik used to have it, Dinesh Karthik actually has it. Dinesh Karthik had the most comebacks in the Indian team. He has made at least 15 to 20 comebacks. Whenever he comes back, he brings something new with him.”

Dinesh Karthik and RCB return to winning ways
In IPL 2024, Dinesh Karthik and Royal Challengers Bengaluru returned to winning ways with a 35-run win over IPL 2024 last night Sunrisers Hyderabad.
It was only the South Indian team’s second win of the season and the first since defeating the Punjab Kings on March 25. RCB will face Gujarat Titans in their next league match on Sunday, April 28.
