Morgan Freeman, Olivier Marchal and Simone Ashley will be praised at the Monte-Carlo TV Festival in June. Prince Albert II of Monaco will present Freeman with the festival’s Crystal Nymph Award.
The civil war drama had already been announced The Gray Housewhich Freeman produced together with Kevin Costner, Leslie Greif and Lori McCreary, will celebrate its world premiere in Monte-Carlo.
The Honorary Golden Nymph, the festival’s highest honor, is awarded to French actor and director Olivier Marchal (36 Quai des Goldsmiths, Braquo), at the closing ceremony of the festival. Simone Ashley, whose credits include Bridgerton And Enlightenment lessonsreceives the Golden Nymph for the most promising talent.
Events for fans and audiences include an anniversary tea party to mark the primetime drama’s 50th anniversary Little house on the prairie. Michael Weatherly, Cote de Pablo, Brian Dietzen and Wilmer Valderrama will be in town for a behind-the-scenes look NCISwhich is celebrating its 1000th episode.
In an industry section, executives will discuss topics such as the impact of last year’s strikes, co-production and the use of AI.
There will be public screenings of the theater projects in the official competition, which includes nine scripted series from France, Israel, Germany, New Zealand, Spain, Sweden, the USA and the UK. The festival also has a news and current events section. The full list can be found below.
