Is Spider Man 4 Finally just before the start of production? Tom Holland gives an update on how much work has been done on the MCU film.
Divorced for over two and a half years Spider-Man: No Way Home, MCU fans have been eager for news about when Tom Holland will return to the role. Although details remain sparse, Holland lightly hinted that things could finally be moving, revealing that he is currently involved in creative meetings about it Spider Man 4.
“We have the best in the business working on the story,” Holland explained in a recent interview with Deadline. “But until we crack it, we have a legacy to protect,” he said. “The third film was so special in so many ways that we have to make sure we do the right thing.”
“This is the first time in the process that I’ve been part of the creative so early on,” the actor added. “It’s just a process that I’m watching and learning. It’s just a really fun stage for me. Like I said, everyone wants it to happen. But we want to make sure we don’t overdo the same things.”
It’s certainly fair that Tom Holland and Marvel don’t want to burn the goodwill that’s been built Spider-Man: No Way Home. Especially considering how uncertain many fans currently feel about the MCU, Spider Man 4 You really have to blow it away to feel justified beyond the end of the last trilogy.
Spider-Man 4’s potential story
At this point, it’s clear that even Marvel isn’t sure what to do with this Spider Man 4. While Tom Holland certainly has some ideas, it’s clear that the studio hasn’t committed to a specific path for his character in the MCU. That leaves a lot of room for speculation as to how the plot might turn out.
Many fans’ main idea for Tom Holland’s next MCU installment is that he will face off against the Kingpin in a war for New York. Given Holland’s new connections with street heroes, that certainly makes sense. It would also separate sonically Spider Man 4 out of Spider-Man: No Way Home to avoid having to live up to the spectacle of this film. Ultimately, though, fans will just have to wait and see what direction Marvel takes.
