After more than a decade of marriage Aaron And Sam Taylor JohnsonThe 23-year gap still raises questions.
According to an oft-told story, Sam, a director and three-time BAFTA nominee, was 42 years old when she met her now long-time husband Aaron on the set of their 2009 film. Nowhere boy. At the time, Aaron was 18 years old. They were engaged at the time of the film’s premiere and became wife and husband in 2012. June 21st marks the twelfth anniversary of Sam and Aaron’s marriage, a fate that Sam says would not have been possible if she had doubted it.
“If I had questioned something, it would never have worked,” she says The guard in a new interview.
The 57-year-old filmmaker added: “I am a firm believer that the heart trumps all. The love conquers all.”

Their busy lives as parents also help keep them focused on something other than attention. “There are times when it’s uncomfortable,” says Sam The Hollywood Reporter. “Most of the time we keep quiet and stay pretty private. We tend to withdraw. Kids and school runs keep you pretty grounded.”
According to Sam, the age difference between them doesn’t show at all.
“We’re a bit of an anomaly,” she admits The guard“But it’s like this: after 14 years you just think, surely it’s not that important anymore?”
