Rich Dude Has Pininfarina Make a Custom Reversario in Contrast to Its Anniversary Year | Car Scoops

The owner of the fifth of five Battista Anniversario has commissioned the twin of his electric hypercar

In contrast to his anniversary year, Rich Dude has Pininfarina make a custom-made Reversario

  • Automobili Pininfarina created a one-off commission for the Battista electric hypercar for a special client who already owned the Anniversario.
  • It is nicknamed “Reversario” and compared to its “Anniversario” it has the exact opposite effect.
  • The happy owner of the Anniversario and Reversario duo says that the twin models “can never be separated because they are truly uniform in design.”

If you’re interested in exclusive hypercars like the Pininfarina Battista, you may have the privilege of being deeply involved in the development process, which can lead to interesting ideas. This is what happened to the owner of the fifth of five special editions of the Anniversario, who commissioned another example of the electric hypercar and asked the designers at Automobili Pininfarina to create the exact opposite – the Reversario.

The Pininfarina Battista Anniversario debuted in 2020 to mark the company’s 90th anniversary with a special paint job and a limited production of five examples. As the name suggests, the Battista Reversario reverses the colors of the original, creating the perfect twin.

The main body and the five-spoke wheels are painted in glossy Bianco Sestiere, the upper part in glossy Grigio Antonelliano. Like the original, an Iconica Blu stripe highlights the two-tone finish with matching accents around the body. In addition, a unique emblem was added to the underside of the active rear spoiler as well as Reversario lettering on the carbon side wings.

Contrasting interior colors

The interior of the Reversario is also the opposite of the black Anniversario and features white Alcantara and leather upholstery. Iconica Blu was used for the perforation, seat belts and various inserts, with the Reversario emblem again visible between the seats. Pininfarina also designed a three-piece luggage set (briefcase, travel bag and suit bag) in black leather with Iconica Blu edge and white Alcantara quilt.

There are no changes to the hardware of the electric hypercar, which comes from the Rimac Nevera. The quad electric motors produce a combined 1,877 hp (1,400 kW / 1,903 hp) and 2,340 Nm (1,726 lb-ft) of torque and are powered by a 120 kWh battery pack. As with the regular Battista, the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) is completed in 1.86 seconds, the sprint from 0 to 200 km/h (0-124 mph) takes 4.75 seconds, while the Top speed is electronically limited to 350 km/h (217 mph).

The happy owner of the Anniversario/Reversario duo explained: “The twins are completely and utterly perfect, as the automotive world has never achieved.” Not only do they have a heritage and a family tree in which they bear the name and the indelible mark of the of the world’s greatest car designer, but they also complement each other like mirror images. The twins are and will remain forever connected with perfect love. The twins can never be separated because they are truly one in design.”

The price of the Reversario has not been disclosed, but it is unlikely that the owner received a discount for purchasing his second Battista. Based on Anniversario’s starting price of €2.6 million ($2.8 million), the two-car garage pictured is expected to be worth over €5.2 million ($5.6 million).

Automobili Pininfarina describes the Reversario as “a bespoke vehicle that will never exist again,” meaning the Anniversario’s other four owners won’t be able to have a ying-yang moment of their own. Still, the design team is more than willing to work with future customers on similarly unique builds based on the remaining Pininfarina Battista units and the even more exclusive 4.4 million euro ($4.8 million) B95 Barchetta.
