Ray J shares Brandy’s reaction to his new ink

On Wednesday, April 24, the “One Wish” singer took to Instagram Live to talk to fans. As he boarded, the father of two shared how people reacted to his new facial ink.

“I decided to go live because, um, a lot of people called me and said, ‘We’re praying for you’ and shit,” he explained in footage captured by Instagram user @livebitez. “My sister called me and shit… It’s crazy.”

At some point during the livestream, Ray J elaborated on his sister’s reaction.

“My sister hit me and said, ‘Yo, that last post you posted – just take that shit down,’ right? The one where I talked about me having an exam and not being attractive and shit,” Ray J explained. “She said I didn’t look clean. I look dirty. My mouth was chapped. There was no white shit coming out of my mouth…I had no water. So I took it off. You know what I mean?”

The singer addresses those who believe his ink isn’t real

The 43-year-old went on to admit that “now everyone” “thinks” he’s crazy. But Ray explained that he was determined to show off his new talent, despite already being told he would have to cover his tattoos for television and film appearances.

“Why? Why do I have to cover up my shit?” Ray J asked. “[Sic] Keep telling me this sucks [tattoos] It’s not real, but I scratch it and scratch it again and the shit won’t come off. It’s not real. It is real. It is real. It’s not real – what the hell does it matter? My daughter likes her name right there, my son likes his name… They like it.”

Later in the stream, the “One Wish” singer again admitted that some people believe he is in a “crisis.” He said he appreciated the public’s “support” and prayers. “But it is not like that.”

“What the face represents is me letting people know: Don’t call me for movie auditions. Don’t tell me you want me to host Dancing With The Stars and stuff like that. “Because I don’t care,” Ray J explained. “…This is the shit I wanted to do before I figured out how to just do shit myself… I’ll never audition for anyone again.” Why should I Audition film when I could just make my film, release it and make money?…”

Ultimately, Ray J revealed that Brandy was “mad” at him because she doesn’t “want” his facial tattoos and doesn’t want him to talk online.

This is how the singer showed the world his new facial tattoos

As The Shade Room previously reported, a YouTube video of Ray J surfaced on Sunday, April 21, showing him wearing the new ink. The video appeared to include snippets from the singer’s recent Instagram Live appearance, where he showed off close-ups of the new tattoos.

Of note, Ray J’s face tattoos appear to include a logo for his TV channel Tronix, his son Epik’s name, his daughter Melody’s name, and a recently added letter “P.”

At the time, the 43-year-old explained that he got the face paint “intentionally” because he “didn’t want another call.”

“I just want to make the call on time,” he said. “And what better way to do that than to decorate your body with what you believe in… I love them… I just never do it – and wouldn’t even know how to take care of it. I do not care.”

At the time, Ray J also shared his first reaction to those who expressed concern after revealing his new ink.
