For one reason or another, Nikki Glaser left some jokes from her set for Netflix The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady. But that doesn’t mean she can’t pass them on after the fact.
That’s exactly what happened when she accompanied Howard Stern on his SiriusXM show. The Howard Stern Showand revealed some of the parts she left out that weren’t exactly targeted Tom Brady himself in particular, but rather the NFL players as a whole.
“So many,” the comedian said when Stern asked if there were a few jokes she left out during her set. She explained that she cut the jokes from her set because they either weren’t forceful enough or were cut due to time constraints. And then she delivered the jokes on TV.
“Thank you so much for being here tonight and taking the time to cheat on your wives,” Glaser shared. “It is not your fault. It’s their wives’ fault that they age naturally.”
She continued: “These guys are fucking damaging their bodies and brains just for the sake of guys hugging at Buffalo Wild Wings. I hope it was worth it, guys.”
Like many of the comedians who mocked the seven-time Super Bowl champion, Glaser was one of them who criticized Brady’s failed marriage to his ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen.
“Tom Brady: five-time Super Bowl MVP, most career wins, most career touchdowns – you have seven rings… well, eight, now that Gisele gave hers back,” Glaser said during her set, which aired live on Netflix on Sunday became.
Glaser also joked, “Tom, the only thing dumber than you saying yes to that roast was when you said, ‘Hey baby, you should try jiu-jitsu.’ That must suck. How much it would suck – oh my God if I only knew your ex-wife’s new boyfriend could beat your ass while he ate hers.”
Brady cringed as Glaser and others mocked his failed marriage. At times, the NFL legend appeared visibly uncomfortable, either fidgeting in her seat or taking a sip of her drink to hide her expression. Then there is his ex-wife. A source told ET that she was “upset and hurt by some of the jokes made about her and her relationship with her.” [boyfriend] Joaquim [Valente]and her wedding to Tom during his roast.” The source added: “Her main concern is always her children and her family and she wants to protect them.” She found some of the jokes tasteless and disrespectful.
While the jokes flew around heavily during the three-hour roast, Glaser shared that the comedians as a whole collectively decided on a topic they wouldn’t address.
“We all collectively decided not to involve his children too much in anything because they didn’t ask for it,” Glaser said, referring to Brady’s three children. “So I couldn’t say, ‘Tom, hopefully we’ll make out at the after party – you can pretend I’m your son.’
