Nick Cannon Shares a Heartfelt Tribute to the Twins’ 13th Birthday

Nick Cannon celebrates his eldest children.

On Tuesday, Monroe and Moroccan – the twins Cannon shares with his ex-wife, Mariah Carey – turned 13 and used Instagram to mark the occasion.

The proud father shared a picture with the new teenagers, in which the trio is wearing t-shirts with the twins’ nicknames “Roc and Roe.”

“I can’t believe 13 years ago I was blessed with the greatest gift of becoming a father!!!” Cannon captioned his post. “God truly had His hand in the lives of two of the most loving, kind, intelligent and balanced people I have ever seen!”

“Thank you for teaching me to love every day and thank you for letting me be your father!” he continued. “I’ll get it done eventually, I promise! Now let’s celebrate again! I love you Roc and Roe!! Happy Birthday!!!”

Carey also celebrated the big day by posting a 360-degree video of herself posing with her daughter.

“The start of the birthday celebrations of the year!!!” Carey captioned the clip before promising “#RockyToBeFeaturedLater” in the hashtag.

While the twins are Carey’s only toddlers, Cannon is the only children several other children. He shares “Golden Sagon” (7), “Powerful Queen” (3) and “Rise Messiah” (1). Brittany Bell; Zion Mixolydian and Zillion heirsboth 3, and Nice zeppelin, 1, with Abby De La Rosa; Legendary Love, 1, with Bre You knew it; Onyx Ice Cole, 1, with LaNisha Cole; gloriole, 1, with Alyssa Scott. Cannon and Scott’s other son, Zen, died of brain cancer in 2021 at the age of 5 months.

Cannon makes it a point to spend time with all of his children, especially during the holidays. When ET spoke to the media personality Last May, he expressed his hopes for his children.

“Out of all my kids, I think it’s fine if they want to be in the entertainment industry, but it’s almost easy,” he said. “I want you to do something that’s challenging, to go outside the box, so you see effort and perseverance and those things because they’re a Nepo baby. Having a child has advantages. You just think, ‘Oh, that’s natural.'”

For this reason, Cannon revealed, he loves watching his children engage in activities that have nothing to do with music.

“That’s why I love… seeing my kids play sports because it has nothing to do with anything. “It literally depends on how much work you put in, how hard you try, that’s how you will be successful in this field,” he said. “They can learn all these cool principles by having fun with their friends. I’m hoping for a few athletes. I hope I can be the dad on the sidelines somewhere there for them. But here too, if you want to become an accountant or a rider, I don’t care.
