It’s hard to know exactly what they mean by “premium models,” but one assumes the Pro range will return as the Galaxy Watch 7 Pro. Unless, of course, “premium” means using more premium materials at higher prices.
Price increases at T-Mobile?: Verizon is a big fan of secretly increasing prices on its older plans that you’re still stuck with. They do this to lure you into their more expensive plans, which offer them higher margins and fewer freebies. At least up to this point, T-Mobile hasn’t followed Verizon’s lead and, for the most part, has allowed you to keep your existing plan without worry. That could change soon, perhaps as early as this year.
During their conference call late last week, T-Mobile CFO Peter Osvaldik mentioned in his opening statement that they expect this: “Taking further measures to optimize tariffs within the base” and that these actions could lead to “slight year-over-year headwinds in postpaid phone growth” in the second and third quarters related to these tariff optimizations. That’s all executive code for, We plan to mess with plan pricing and that could upset a lot of customers.
When the question-and-answer session opened for the call, they were immediately asked to be more specific about what they meant. At that point, CEO Mike Sievert jumped in and assured everyone that “nothing we do will challenge or challenge our long-standing strategy of being the value leader in this market.” However, as “costs have increased” and other industry changes have taken place, he believes that “customers understand that if there are changes to margins every few years in a world where costs are changing, they will understand and accept that,” he concluded that “there may be further changes, especially with older tariff plans”, but that there is nothing more to announce.

MOBVOI teases new watch: Fans of Mobvoi products, a new smartwatch is on the way. Well, that’s what we get from the teasers that Mobvoi released this week by sending out an image of a smartwatch and the words “A NEW ERA is dawning.” There is no teaser on their website, but they shared this image via email and on all social media channels.
It’s been almost a year since they introduced the TicWatch Pro 5 with the latest Wear OS technology. Is this just a new model of it or are we talking about a TicWatch Pro 6? I guess we’ll find out soon, although no date has been mentioned in any of these teasers.
